In the 10:05am Saturday update, the Yes margin for Prop 11 increased from 131,159 to 133,952. With a lot of ballots still to count (2.74 million) this is not over, but it looks a little better for Prop 11 supporters every day. Saturday’s update counted 28,679 ballots. Statewide Turnout is 79.5%
With only the two small counties left to report their “uncounted ballots” figure, we can finally give a solid figure for voter turnout: 79.5 percent. Proposition 11’s margin has grown to 107,299 votes (from 97,321 two days ago). As of 4:05pm, 66,497 more ballots have been counted. The new ballots split 53.8% yes, 46.2% no. The Secretary of State’s 1:05 pm Friday update shows no new ballots counted. San Bernardino and a number of other counties did report their remaining uncounted ballots. There are now 2.63 million ballots uncounted statewide, excluding the five counties that have not yet reported their uncounted ballot numbers:  San Francisco, Fresno, Imperial, Lake and Trinity.
