A recent article on Bloomberg News quoted Rose Institute Fellow Douglas Johnson on how Tea Party candidates were not as successful in more densely populated states and metropolitan areas. Published November 5th, the article is titled “Tea Party Election Results Diluted in Highly Populated States.”
Johnson discusses the tea party in California, noting “the biggest factor is California’s size [making it] difficult to organize anything of a grassroots nature.”
