Doug Johnson was recently quoted in the Pasadena-Star News on the subject of California recent budget proposal. The proposal includes a recently added provision that would involve increasing income tax withholding as a way of temporarily balancing the budget.
The plan differs greatly from previous proposals from both the Republican and Democrat sides, said Doug Johnson, a political fellow at Claremont McKenna College’s Rose Institute.
“It is so different from any proposal we’ve been hearing,” said Johnson. “All of a sudden we have this proposal, and it looks like they are not studying these ideas, but just passing them through.”
