Rose Institute's Douglas Johnson on Montebello finances

A recent article in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune discussed how the federal government is seeking a return of its investment in a Montebello property after the city has not developed the property at all in the last seven years. Titled “Property languishes empty, feds to demand repayment”, the article was published on November 2nd and quotes Rose Institute Fellow Douglas Johnson.

According to Johnson “the real test for the city will be if the new council can establish some stability – if this council disappears then you’ve got to start all over again…there are some signs of hope that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel but without a doubt it will take some time to get there.”
