Share Your Rose Story: Nohemi Gutierrez Ferguson ’82 P’17

I have such fond memories of my job at the Rose Institute. I learned so much from Dr. Heslop, Florence, Bob, and the other staff at the Rose. I helped out wherever they needed me, and I remember filing legislative bills so that they were easily accessible, organizing tubes with maps, and also helping draw redistricting lines in the basement of Bauer. My tasks seem more mundane now than the research the students perform today, but my job was necessary nonetheless.

I also remember being afforded incredible opportunities to attend special events where I heard speeches by dignitaries such as Clare Boothe Luce and President Gerald Ford, all thanks to the Rose. I will gladly celebrate this milestone with everyone.
