That summer our cohort went to Vegas (for milkshakes of course! — we still weren’t legal) and for the adventure view of Lake Meade from above 🙂
The Girard summer was spent doing research identifying spending trends on social service programs in California’s 14 largest counties for a comprehensive published report in Voice Of San Diego. I focused on mental health coverage and the formation of MediCal. Our group took a trip to San Diego to visit the publication office to learn more about the series of coverage they were doing on related topics. It was fun.
