In the most recent issue of the Inland Empire Outlook, the Rose Institute published an article examining the troubles plaguing Ontario Airport (ONT). Now, a few months later, we have looked into the topic again to share with our readers the latest developments.
Updates on ONT are scant. LAWA has not responded to the city of Ontario’s proposal, nor made any indication it intends to accept the bids. In the meantime, traffic at ONT has only continued its precipitous decline (while traffic at LAX has grown). Despite external political pressure, ONT remains perilously trapped in a web of bureaucracy.
