The USA Today has a great graphic on the technology Americans use to cast their votes. By moving your mouse over “2000” and “2010” you can see the huge shift in systems. As the article notes, the change was inspired by the Bush versus Gore 2000 Presidential voting controversies. (Hat tip to Loyola Law School’s Rick Hasen and his Election Law blog for the pointer.)
