Celebrating 50 Years of Shaping Policy and Developing Leaders
Founded in 1973 at Claremont McKenna College, the Rose Institute of State and Local Government has become one of the nation’s leading centers for the study of government, politics, and policy at the state and local levels. Throughout its history, the Institute has produced expert analyses of critical issues facing California and other states, while maintaining a steady focus on the education and development of its student research assistants. Today, more than 400 Rose alumni are using skills they gained in the Rose student workroom in leadership positions in government, business, and the professions. Thank you for celebrating the Rose Institute’s half-century of accomplishments in the public arena, as well as the extraordinary community of students, faculty, alumni, and friends we have formed along the way.
