With less than 5% of precincts still unreported, Proposition 11 has a 1% lead, less than 100,000 votes. The Central Valley Business Times noted just how narrow that lead is in some places:
Indicative of the tight race, Prop 11 was approved in San Joaquin County by a mere 20 votes out of more than 150,000 cast on the measure.
Most papers still believe the proposition is too close to call, but the odds appear to be leaning in favor of the redistricting reform measure. The two counties with the most uncounted ballots, Riverside and San Bernandino, are both supporting Prop. 11, albeit by narrow margins.
