A recent editorial in the Redding Record Searchlight, voices their support of Proposition 11 as a needed reform, decrying the current method of redistricting.
“The Legislature also rigged the game when it drew political districts early in this decade. The state has scarcely seen a competitive election since, which is precisely how the politicians wanted it. Democrats and Republicans alike enjoy safe seats, making elections a formality and the voters essentially voiceless.
But the November ballot holds a solution: Proposition 11.”
